Meet your menu – a unique tasting experience
Posted onWe have always offered our brides and grooms a free tasting session before their wedding day to help them decide on their final menu options. Choosing dishes for your wedding can be tricky, especially when you are juggling your own preferences with the needs of your guests as well. Trying your favourite options can help you with the final decision.
Earlier this year we hosted an event called Meet your menu, which was a new way for our brides and grooms to do a wedding tasting. Instead of coming in to our tasting room on their own and trying a couple of options for each course, we invited couples to a large marquee at The Hill in Stroud, where we hosted a tasting session in sittings over two days. All couples were given a selection of miniature versions of six starters, six mains, and six desserts, plus canapes.
We also dressed the tables in different styles, using a range of coloured linen, different table settings and table centres to provide some visual inspiration – some of which we can hire out. We also had our sweetie table and old-fashioned ice-cream tricycle displayed. This meant that the couples could use the whole event as inspiration for their big day and generally enjoy a lovely afternoon out choosing their wedding menu.
The feedback we received was excellent, our couples really enjoyed the experience. We will host another Meet your menu event in autumn. If you are interested in attending please email info@berry-blue.co.uk
